Cloud Computing and Web 2.0 In Five Easy Posts

by Kevin Tea on August 14, 2009

A couple of new readers – a very warm welcome by the way – have asked what posts should be read by newcomers to Web 2.0 and cloud computing technologies.  To save new readers time I have opted to write this post which summarises the articles I think are the most relevant and include links to the full articles.

1: A Brief Analysis Of Cloud Computing and Oil Tankers – looks at why small to medium sized enterprises and the self employed should embrace cloud computing and Web 2.0 technologies.

2: Cloud Storage Systems Go Head To Head- UK PC magazine PC Pro looks at online storage, backup and file sharing services

3: Summary Of Online Backup and Collaboration Tools – I carried out a series of reviews on services such as Dropbox, Box, Mozy etc and this is a summary.

4: I started publishing interviews with some of the key shakers and movers of online packages including online calendaring service Tungle, backup package Cloudberry, collaboration tools DeskAway and Wizehive.

5: A hat trick of articles asking newcomers to carry out the Triple S analysis on cloud and web 2.0 service covering security, scalability and sustainability.
